In May of 2020, my dreams of interning in a different country were shattered when COVID-19 hit. All study abroad programs were canceled and many in-person internships in my hometown were postponed. When my school reached out about the Connect-123 virtual internship program, I jumped at the chance to work for an international company. Eight weeks later, I can confidently say that interning for a company in Dublin, Ireland was the best decision of my life.

It can be intimidating to work for a company overseas all online but it can also provide you with skills many interns don’t have the opportunity to learn.
