Web Development Intern | Barcelona
Coming to Spain for two and a half months was a dream come true. I always had it in mind to improve my Spanish and was very drawn to the history and culture of the country. I also wanted to gain more experience in the tech industry. Connect-123 helped me every step of the way and allowed me to work with a non-profit organization based in Barcelona.
I worked under very dedicated people who are actively involved in projects with Amnesty International, Fair Trade España, and many other non-profit organizations, as well as small businesses. I spent time mostly on front-end projects, updating websites in order to make them responsive to mobile and tablets. I was a little nervous about the language barrier I would experience, due to Catalan being the official dialect of this part of the country. However, my internship supervisors were very friendly and accommodating. I could not have done it without Connect-123’s guidance!
Getting to live here for a short time is something I will never forget. I met so many wonderful people through the program and elsewhere.
Espero volver pronto!
